The Ford museum

Last Sinterklaas, Simone gave me tickets to the Ford museum. They have a temp. exhibition with special Mustangs to honour the 50th anniversary of this iconic car. Today, we went there :-)

It was mad busy. Not. I didn't mind. It's better for taking photos.

This place houses the largest, privately owned, collection of Ford's in the whole world. Pretty cool!

Right at the start there is a (Spanish) replica of Ford's first automobile.

I love the engine on it. It's so incredibly simple.

It's actually really cool because you can identify all the parts so well. Mind the differential next to the wheel. Very nice.

The transmission was made of wood. Awesome :-)

Loads of oldies here.

There's also a section on Lincoln's, which are Ford owned.

More of the same?

There were quite a few "educationals" which I liked a lot.

Popcorn van.

Whiskey truck that was owned by Al Capone's company.

Petrol truck.

Nice writing on all those old cars.

And then there was the section of Mustangs.

This is Voorend's dragster. Very nice.

'71 Hardtop. Very nice but after a while the checkers get a bit too much to look at.

Shelby from 2000-something. Beast of car but where are the curves?

Older and newer.

This 'stang was truly gorgeous.

Older sportsroof. Very nice!

'90's pony.

This was my favourite Mustang though. A '71 Mach 1.

It's the model that started the fire for me.

Great car. Beautiful colour too.

First you see this...

... and then this ;-)

I had a lovely time looking at everything. Lunch before and coffee and apple pie after with Simone and Milan. Good times.
